1. Silence and stillness of early morning devotional time.

2. Coffee brewing in a husband crafted kitchen.

3. White fluffy robes and fuzzy socks.

4. The quiet drive to the gym...early morning workouts...alone and unsociable.

5. Footsie jammies and two year old morning breath.

6. Toddler cracked eggs and crispy bacon.

7. Moose-ka (Mickey Mouse) shaped pancakes served on a Tonka plate.

8. Imaginary eggs prepared in a toddler sized kitchen.

9. The obsessive anticipation that only a Labrador can create....waiting for her daily scrambled egg.

10. The anxious peeping of brand-new baby birds nesting on our front door...calling eagerly for their mama.

11. A shaving game played between a boy and his daddy.

12. Lunches prepared and sent off for a hard working husband.

13. A chance for a new day...

Oh, God, give me grace for this day.

Not for a lifetime, nor for next week, nor

for tomorrow, just for this day.

Direct my thoughts and bless them,

Direct my work and bless it.

Direct the things I say and give them blessings, too.

Direct and bless everything that I think and speak

and do. So that for this one day, just this one

day, I have the gift of grace that comes from your

presence.
